The task was to write and shoot a „missing scene“ for Netflix’ highest budget feature film of all time, „The Gray Man“ with
Ryan Gosling. The scene should fit into the narrative of the film and provide backstory on how one of the main characters
receives the car she drives in key scenes of the film.
Audi was one client, providing this specific car, and they asked for a vibe that fits the tonality of „The Gray Man“ while
playing with some clichés that we all know from the classic secret agent genre.
At the same time, Netflix was the second client on this project, making sure that this film meets their quality standard as a
brand and those of the people who were in charge of „The Gray Man“.
It was a dream project for me as a director, being challenged to create a Hollywood vibe, direct amazing actors with a
dialogue full of cheeky subtext, incorporate CGI and simply tell a cool story.
